Goldstream Incorporated excited to be sponsoring boxing event

CEO of Goldstream Incorporated Dan Coolican was delighted to announce that the Nottingham-based outsourced sales and marketing firm will be one of the official sponsors of the Selby 10th Anniversary Show, a club that Mr Coolican used to box for as a kid.

The event which is scheduled to take place on May 6th at the Riccall Regen Centre is an opportunity for Mr Coolican to gain exposure for the Goldstream Incorporated brand, but most importantly, to give back to a club where he spent much of his youth.

Mr Coolican credits much of the skills he learned competing in the sport to his success as a business owner. At Goldstream Incorporated they recognise that many of the characteristics that make a successful athlete transition well into making a successful entrepreneur, and for that reason, when it comes to talent acquisition, the firm often targets sporty individuals and enthusiasts.

The competition in business is just as fierce as that on a field or in an arena, and the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs can be comparable to successful athletes. Goldstream Incorporated have revealed the sporting characteristics that can be utilised in business:

Passion – Athletes and entrepreneurs are driven by a burning passion and that is what forces them to keep going in the face of adversity and overcome any obstacles.

Vision – The ability to visualise success and remember the bigger picture is pivotal for successful athletes and entrepreneurs.

Self-confidence – “You have to believe in your own ability if you want to achieve anything,” claims Mr Coolican. Self-confidence enables people to follow through on their dreams, despite what any naysayers might think.

Winning mentality – At Goldstream Incorporated when it comes to talent acquisition they don’t pre-judge based on education or experience, however one of the attributes they do look for is a winning mentality, and that is something that athletes naturally possess.

Competitive spirit – Sport and business are both hugely competitive worlds. A competitive spirit is ingrained in athletes, and the most successful entrepreneurs also possess that spirit.

“Gaining exposure to an audience of athletes and sports fans will hopefully help us to attract the next wave of ambitious and talented individuals to help take our business forward and help us to achieve our goals,” said Mr Coolican.

Goldstream Incorporated is an outsourced sales and marketing firm based in Nottingham. As direct marketing specialists, the firm works closely alongside their clients to create unique marketing campaigns, which will accurately represent their products or services to consumers. Mr Coolican is eagerly anticipating the forthcoming event and hopes this will be the first of many sponsorships.
